Feature:
1. Alcohol lamp is composed of a lamp body, lamp core tube, and lamp cap. The heating temperature of the alcohol lamp is 400 - 500 C, which is suitable for experiments where the temperature is not too high, especially when there is no gas equipment. 
2. Because it does not produce smoke in the combustion process, it can also achieve sterilization by burning instruments. Because of the heat generated during the burning process of alcohol lamps, other experimental materials can be heated. Alcohol lamps can be divided into hanging and sitting alcoholic blowtorches as well as the conventional alcoholic lamps mentioned in this paper. Glass is the most commonly used material in laboratories. 
3. It is mainly composed of a lamp body, cotton lamp rope (cotton lamp core), ceramic lamp core, lamp cap, and alcohol.

-The newly purchased alcohol lamp should first be equipped with a wick. The wick is usually twisted together with multiple strands of cotton yarn and inserted into the ceramic bushing of the wick. The lamp wick should not be too short. Generally, it should be 4-5 cm long after being immersed in alcohol.
For old lamps, especially those that have not been used for a long time, after removing the lamp cap, the ceramic bushing should be lifted, and the alcohol vapor accumulated in the lamp should be blown gently into the lamp with an ear washer or mouth. Put down the sleeve and check the wick. If the wick is not uniform or burnt, trim it with scissors to equal length.

-Alcohol should be added to the new lamp or old lamp pot with less than 1/2 of its volume. Alcohol should not be too full. It is advisable not to exceed 2/3 of the volume of the lamp pot. (Too little alcohol will cause too much alcohol vapor in the lamp pot, which will easily cause deflagration; too much alcohol will expand by heat, which will easily lead to alcohol spillover and accidents.) Alcohol must be added with the help of a small funnel, so as not to spill alcohol. If alcohol is added to a burning alcohol lamp, the fire-extinguishing flame must be extinguished. Alcohol must not be added when igniting, otherwise, it will easily ignite and cause accidents.
